Our law firm focuses on a variety of legal fields, including inheritance law in Israel.  This article is one in a series addressing different aspects of Israeli inheritance law, based on the Hebrew instructions on the Ministry of Justice website under the Registrar of Inheritance Affairs.  To read more, see our collection of articles on inheritance issues.

Obtaining Copies of Orders in Israel

In order to receive a faithful copy of an original will probate order or succession order from the Registrar of Inheritance Affairs, you must first pay the fee for copies of wills on the payment page according to the number of copies you wish to receive.  (Note that the payment page of the registrar’s website is only in Hebrew, not in English or other languages.  If you need assistance with this, please contact our law firm.)

After making the payment, you need to send a page showing the confirmation of payment by fax or email to the secretary of the registrar in the district in which the will was registered along with your relevant details.  Everyone is entitled to receive a copy of an order after the individual who registered the will passes away.

It is important to note that the Registrar of inheritance Affairs only began operating in September 1998.  If you are interested in receiving a copy of an order from before this date, please contact the relevant secretary in the relevant court.
