Translation of Academic Degree
The translation of an academic degree is essential if the holder of the degree intends to work or study abroad on the basis of said degree. An academic degree is a document that testifies to the level of education and the type of degree studies (Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, etc.).

When is translation of academic degree required?
Many Israeli students apply to academic study at higher educational institutions in foreign countries. Whether it is for Bachelor’s Degree studies or further studies in the case of those holding an existing academic degree, be it a BA, and MA, or other degrees.
The majority of Israeli academic degrees are awarded to students in the Hebrew Language (there are instances in which the University is willing to approve the issue of a copy in English). Alongside the application for academic study abroad, the applicant must attach an academic degree translated into the language of the destination country, as well as other documents, in accordance with the requirements of the specific academic institution where the application is being submitted.
Translation can also be required in the opposite instance. In other words, if the academic degree was received abroad and the holder of the degree intends to study or work in Israel, the academic of degree should be translated into the Hebrew language before being submitted to the academic institution in Israel, particularly if the degree was not issued in English.
The translation of an academic degree can also be required in circumstances other than study abroad, insofar as there is a need to prove the completion of studies – for example: to receive a professional certificate on the basis of studies in a foreign country, immigration from Israel, business purposes, work, etc.
